The Liveability Score is a rating ‘out of 10’, which is designed as a guide to how ‘well connected’ properties within a local area are to facilities such as public transport, healthcare services, shopping outlets, schools and parkland. While the Liveability Score is provided next to a particular property on onthehouse.com.au, the scores apply to the local area (also known as a Mesh Block) in which a property is located. Currently, the Liveability Score is only available for some properties within Greater Melbourne, but may be available in other Australian regions in the future.
The Liveability Score is generated by reference to a number of sub-scores: a walkability score, a shopping score, a health score, a parkland score, a school score, and a public transport score (Sub-Scores).
